Why did you choose Assumption University?
I was fortunate in my recruiting journey that I found a college that checked all the boxes on my list. I chose Assumption for so many reasons: the size, the campus setting, the degree offered, the relationship I developed with Coach Rocco, and the value I have placed in a lifetime of Catholic education.
What makes you excited about your future in college?
I look forward to the opportunity to continue to challenge myself and play baseball at a higher level, while pursuing a degree I am passionate about and continuing to grow as a whole individual.
Why would you recommend SportsForce to other student-athletes or parents?
SportsForce provided a clear direction and plan for me and my family to approach the recruiting process. From Coach Ryan’s guidance in formulating an initial contact list to Darrell’s assist in email campaigns, SportsForce provided guidance through the process. SportsForce and Coach Ryan helped to advance my presence on social media during the recruiting process, helping me to be seen by more coaches. The support and advice during this process helped me to seek appropriate camps and opportunities to get in front of coaches and not chase random camps. Overall, SportsForce made what appears an overwhelming process manageable and enjoyable.
What was your recruiting journey like before SportsForce?
I knew that I wanted to play baseball but had no plan and no understanding for the recruiting process.
What did your personal recruiting advisor do that made a significant impact?
Coach Ryan Sloniger has been amazing throughout the process, provided a wealth of knowledge through his experience playing and then coaching baseball in a collegiate setting. Coach Ryan was available throughout the process to provide counsel and help develop strategies for my recruiting plan, as well as reassuring me on my timeline and to never feel pressured. In the end, because of his experience as a recruiting coach at the college level, Coach Ryan was able to provide my family and I with a clear approach to evaluating the offer from Assumption.
